Mojdeh goes beyond helping the Persian speaking Church to equipping individual Persian speaking churches. By structuring our pedagogical process in such a way that leaders work together with Mojdeh to teach and guide students, we are helping individual Churches learn and grow together. We also provide resources for Persian church leaders so that they can make more healthy, theologically sound leaders.
Mojdeh partners with churches to create an environment where pastors can train their members alongside Mojdeh. We created the Moodle website specifically for the church, giving access to the pastor who coaches the students in the congregation, encourages them, and grades their assignments. In this way students receive their instruction from Mojdeh but their guidance from their pastor, who is more familiar with the varying levels of achievement and comprehension of his students. This means that the church is growing together as students help one another learn and report to their pastor, who gives them guidance and feedback while reporting on the student’s progress to Mojdeh.
We have seen God use this method to do great things, including using one Christian who was a Mojdeh student in Turkey to go to England and plant a Church and start grading more Mojdeh students in his congregation. We have also seen that there is great potential for missionaries to use Mojdeh as a tool to equip Muslim background believers to become disciple makers and church planters. If a missionary’s language is not developed enough to teach Farsi-speaking believers the complexities of theology they can facilitate Mojdeh’s free, theologically sound classes and act as the grader, answering any questions the students have, all the while bettering their Farsi with Mojdeh’s materials in order to do more in-depth Gospel sharing of their own.
